Erik F. Villum (36) has become the new Senior Vice President in charge of Nord Pool's financial market. Prior to joining Nord Pool, Villum was Assistant Director, Corporate Finance, at Orkla Enskilda Securities in Oslo. Mr. Villum holds an MSc degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, and an MBA from INSEAD. He succeeded Geir Dvergastein who is now the Market Director for Nord Pool's financial market.
Karin Brenden (41) is Senior Vice President, IT, at Nord Pool ASA. Brenden was IT Director at Nordea Finance in Oslo before taking responsibility for all Nord Pool IT operations. For most of her career Brenden has worked in related facets of IT, economics, and finance, for the major insurer Uni Storebrand and other employers. Karin Brenden holds a Masters of Business and Economics degree from the Norwegian School of Management (BI).
Marja Karppinen (44) has been employed as Systems Developer at Nord Pool ASA. She studied Applied Mathematics and Information Systems at the University of Oslo. Previously, Marja worked as Project Manager and Systems Developer at Nextra AS and Beep Science AS. Her Master of Science degree from the University of Helsinki is in Geology.
Hege Anita Sandvik (26) is a Systems Developer at Nord Pool ASA. A Master of IT from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, and an IT Diploma Candidate, Option Systems Analysis, from the Polytechnical College (DPH), Oslo, Hege Anita has worked at the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE).
Ireen Novum (41) is an account assistant at Nord Pool ASA. Earlier, Novum was an adviser in the economics section of Norway's Directorate of Immigration. She was educated at the Norwegian School of Management (BI) as a business economist.
Kjell A. Barmsnes (38) is a Senior Consultant at Nord Pool Consulting AS. Before joining Nord Pool Consulting, Barmsnes has held various positions at OM, Energy Systems. Most recently he worked as an International Coordinator for OM Energy Systems, and as a General Manager for OM's energy activities in the USA. He holds an MSc degree in Information Technology from the University of Oregon, USA.
Knut Str¿mnes (38) is an Adviser at Nord Pool Spot AS. He was Portfolio Manager at Tindra AS until he began at Nord Pool Spot. Knut has a Cand. Mag. degree from ¯stfold College (¯stfold Ingeni¿rh¿gskole), including three years of studies in electric power engineering, and a year's study in Information Technology.
