The bilateral clearing activities at NECH have shown steady and somewhat higher volume growth than in the Financial Market at the Exchange. Through week 45 bilateral clearing of financial contracts has increased by 27% compared to the same period in 2001, which gives a total volume of over 1853 TWh.
In terms of growth levels for different types of products the by far strongest growth has been recorded for Options contracts. The total volume cleared by NECH (bilateral and Exchange) has been 2777 TWh, which represents an overall increase for clearing at NECH of above 23% compared to last year.
